Portiere Lion

This tapestry is inspired by the famous "Lady and the Unicorn" theme. The Lion is part of the tapestry series woven during the 15th century. In viewing these tapestries the lion is opposite the unicorn, next to the lady as a symbol of strength. The original tapestries are exhibited in the Cluny Museum in Paris.
