The Royal Forest is a Belgian made jacquard wall tapestry. King Sigismund Augustus of Poland (later to become Emperor), commissioned the original tapestries from Michiel Coxcie of Mechelen in the mid-16th century. They are now part of the state collection housed in the Wawelburcht Castle in Cracow. The series is called The Jagaloon Tapestries.
