Seine at Asnie'res, also called The Skiff, is a jacquard tapestry is woven in Belgium. It is a reproduction of the work by Auguste-Pierre Renoir from his 1879 oil painting. Renoir's impressionist rendering of skiff boating across the Seine on a sunny day is truly remarkable, the viewer can almost feel the sun on their back and hear the lapping water. Asnières-sur-Seine is a commune in the northwestern suburbs of Paris, France, along the river Seine. It is located 7.9 km from the center of Paris. The original is now on display in the National Gallery, London. Also known as Seine at Asnieres.
