Retour de Chase is a genuine Jules Pansu wall tapestry. A reproduction from the late 16th century. The renaissance radically changed the art of tapestry and imposed a new aesthetic, by associating tapestry and painting. To the austerity of the Middle-Ages succeeded the Italian influence with its sense of composition, decoration and perspective. Accompanied by his beaters, a lord returns to his distant castle. A rich border of fruit, flowers and birds frames this scene.
