This tapestry design is taken from one of the six panels forming the Apocalypse Tapestry of Angers. It was woven at the end of the 14th century by Nicolas Bataille for the Duke Louis I of Anjou, and based on the cartoons of Hennequin of Bruges. Fantastic colors and designs are typical of J Pansu tapestries.
