Licorne Captive Is a genuine Jules Pansu tapestry. The original is in the Metropolitan Museum and woven at the end of the 15th century. In the Middle-Ages, this legendary animal was regarded as the symbol of purity. It is fastened by a golden chain to a tree bearing pomegranates, signifying marriage and fertility.
