The King Borne or The Bearing of the King was originally commissioned by the French King Louis XIV and designed by his personal artist Lebrun. The original now forms part of an exceptional collection of 17th and 18th century tapestries in the Palace of the Grandmasters in Valetta, the capital of Malta.
