The Renaissance changed the art of tapestry. Great decorative frescoes became popular again but with a new sense of composition, decor and perspective so far unknown. More than stag hunting itself, the artist depicts the attitude and the costumes of the characters. A rich and frivolous atmosphere emanates from this scene: characters dressed in Italian style, richly adorned horses and greyhounds.
