This medieval tapestry is inspired by the original series of six tapestries woven during the 16th century in Flanders, "La Dame a' la Licorne" (The Lady and the Unicorn Series) depicting the 5 senses. A Mon Seul Desir (To My Sole or Only Desire) displays the lady reaching for her jewels with her attendant, a Lion, and a Unicorn at her side. Until today the meaning of this 6th tapestry remains unclear, but some consider it to be a declaration of love. The original tapestries are exhibited in the Cluny Museum in Paris.
